This is a warming, and familiar coffee- with a chocolatey aroma and a pleasantly sweet fruit finish common to Columbian coffee, we find this coffee to be quite well-rounded across your brew methods. It makes for a pleasantly light but full drip/pour-over coffee and a chocolatey but mildly bright espresso.

Sweet and Chocolatey With a Light Orange Bright Finish

Colombia Bochica is sourced from smallholder farmers in Colombia’s renowned coffee-growing regions, including Huila, Cauca, Nariño, and Tolima. These producers belong to cooperatives and associations that prioritize traceability, quality, and sustainability. Coffee is processed using the traditional fully washed method: ripe cherry is selectively handpicked and pulped on the farm, then fermented in tanks for 26 to 36 hours. After fermentation, the parchment is washed in clean water and dried on parabolic beds for up to 20 days. The result is a clean, balanced cup with round body, bright acidity, chocolate sweetness, and fruit-forward notes. Close collaboration throughout the supply chain ensures consistency across harvests while supporting farmer livelihoods and community projects, such as clean water initiatives.

FAQ

How to brew

For the best experience, we recommend brewing 7-10 days off roast. Experiment with grind size, brew temperatures, ratio and time to find your sweet spot. For more details on your coffee, check out our brew guides.

How should I store my coffee to keep it fresh?

To keep your coffee as fresh as possible, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Avoid exposure to light, heat, and moisture.

Is it available in whole bean or pre-ground?

We offer it in both whole bean and pre-ground options. Whole beans are ideal for those who prefer to grind their coffee fresh before brewing, while our pre-ground option is convenient for quick, easy brewing.

What’s the best grind size?

The best grind size depends on your brewing method. For a French press, use a coarse grind. For pour-over or drip coffee, a medium grind is ideal. If you’re making espresso, go for a fine grind. Adjust the grind size to suit your personal taste and brewing preferences. In general, if it's too bold or bitter, try coarsening up your grind size- if it's weak or sour, go a bit finer.

Why our coffee stands out

Ethically Sourced, Sustainably Grown

Great coffee starts with great partners. We choose lots with traceability and sustainability in focus. Today, we work through Bellwether’s importing partners to access farmer cooperatives and pay ethically minded prices. Tomorrow, our goal is to nurture direct relationships at origin—sharing stories, investing in communities, and bringing you coffees that honor the people and places behind them.

Small-Batch Roasting for Peak Freshness

Every batch is intentional: sourced with thought, profiled with patience, and cupped until it feels right. We roast almost daily so your coffee arrives lively and balanced, and we put the roast date on every bag for transparency. Most orders ship within 24–48 hours of roast. It’s the same standard we hold for family—because you’re at our table, too. (No local pickup; we ship fresh.)

Commitment to Community

We’re here to pour into people. Expect educational events (like Brew & Belajar), collabs with neighbors and creators, and initiatives that make coffee more accessible and inclusive. As an Indonesian-owned micro roaster, community is our touchstone—rooted in culture, learning, and shared moments over a great cup.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Ethically Sourced: We’re committed to supporting farmers who grow our beans with care and respect for the land and people.
  • Small-Batch Roasted: Each batch is roasted to order, ensuring that your coffee arrives fresh and full of flavor.
  • Versatile Brew: Perfect for your favorite brewing methods—whether it’s pour-over, French press, espresso or drip.
